Explore the Eastern & Southern Islands in 7 nights | Eminence
Sail through the eastern and southern regions of the Galapagos Archipelago on a remarkable 7-night expedition aboard M/C Eminence. This thoughtfully designed route combines volcanic scenery, peaceful white-sand beaches, exceptional snorkeling locations, important seabird nesting grounds, and close encounters with some of the islands’ most emblematic wildlife. Throughout the journey, guests explore Santa Cruz, Genovesa, South Plaza, Santa Fe, San Cristobal, Española, and Floreana through guided nature walks, coastal excursions, and marine activities.

Day by day

Day 1: Santa Cruz Island: Arrival at Baltra Airport & Bachas Beach
Your Galapagos adventure begins upon arrival at Baltra Airport, where local representatives will greet you and assist with your transfer to M/C Eminence. After boarding the vessel, settling into your suite, and attending an introductory briefing about the ship and expedition program, you will head to Bachas Beach on the northern coast of Santa Cruz Island. This serene visitor site is known for its fine white sand, shallow coastal lagoons, and calm turquoise sea. Walk along the shore while watching for marine iguanas, coastal birds, and flamingos feeding in nearby wetlands. When sea conditions are favorable, the protected bay also provides an inviting place to snorkel among tropical fish and sea turtles, offering a gentle introduction to the wildlife and landscapes of the Galapagos.
Day 2: Genovesa Island: El Barranco, Prince Philip’s Steps & Darwin Bay
Spend the day discovering Genovesa Island, a remote volcanic destination widely regarded as one of the archipelago’s finest locations for birdwatching. Begin at El Barranco, where Prince Philip’s Steps rise from the rocky coast toward a high volcanic plateau. Follow the trail through palo santo woodland and exposed lava terrain while observing red-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, frigatebirds, and storm petrels. The open landscape provides excellent opportunities for photography and close wildlife observation. Later, continue to Darwin Bay, situated within the remains of a partially submerged volcanic crater. Walk along a white-sand beach surrounded by nesting seabirds, marine iguanas, and sea lions resting near the water. The sheltered bay may also offer rewarding snorkeling with rays, sea turtles, colorful fish, and other marine species.
Day 3: South Plaza Island & Santa Fe Island
Day 4: San Cristobal Island: Pitt Point & Witch Hill
Day 5: San Cristobal Island: Interpretation Center, Kicker Rock & Lobos Island
Day 6: Española Island: Suarez Point, Gardner Bay & Osborn Islet
Day 7: Floreana Island: Baroness Viewpoint, Post Office Bay, Cormorant Point & Champion Islet
Day 8: Santa Cruz Island: Highlands & Departure from Baltra Airport
