In the Steps of Pirates and Darwin
Follow the paths of pirates and Charles Darwin on an unforgettable 8-day journey through the Galapagos Islands. This immersive expedition features volcanic landscapes, remote islands, and remarkable wildlife encounters. From snorkeling with sea lions and penguins to observing rare endemic species, each day offers insight into the evolution and natural history of this unique destination.

Day by day

Day 1: Baltra Island & Daphne Island: Eden for Animals
a.m. Arrive to Baltra Island Airport p.m. Daphne Island or Bahia Borrero Your journey begins with a morning arrival at Baltra Island Airport. After a park inspection, you will meet your naturalist guide and transfer to the yacht by bus and dinghy. Once onboard, settle into your cabin and attend a briefing. In the afternoon, visit Bahia Borrero or view Daphne Minor. Bahia Borrero features a calm mangrove inlet where you may see sea turtles, reef sharks, rays, and tropical fish during a dinghy ride. Alternatively, Daphne Minor is known for important research on Darwin’s finches. This day provides a gentle introduction to the Galapagos ecosystem.
Day 2: Isabela Island & Fernandina Island: The Archipelago’s Newest Work
a.m. Isabela Island: Punta Vicente Roca p.m. Fernandina Island: Punta Espinoza Start at Punta Vicente Roca on Isabela Island, where volcanic cliffs create nutrient-rich waters. A dinghy ride reveals seabirds such as blue-footed boobies and flightless cormorants. Snorkeling offers chances to see sea lions, turtles, rays, and fish. Later, cross the Bolivar Channel, where whales are sometimes spotted, and continue to Fernandina Island. At Punta Espinoza, walk across lava fields filled with marine iguanas. You may also see Galapagos penguins and flightless cormorants. This island is one of the most pristine in the archipelago.
Day 3: Isabela Island: Yellow Dragons and Underwater Pastures
Day 4: Santiago Island: Pinnacle and Lavascapes
Day 5: Santa Cruz Island & Rabida Island: The Red Island
Day 6: Santa Cruz Island: Realm of the Tortoise
Day 7: Española Island: The Perfect Beach and Blowhole
Day 8: San Cristobal: Farewell to Darwin’s First Island
