a.m. Isabela Island: Punta Vicente Roca
p.m. Fernandina Island: Punta Espinoza
Start at Punta Vicente Roca on Isabela Island, where volcanic cliffs create nutrient-rich waters. A dinghy ride reveals seabirds such as blue-footed boobies and flightless cormorants. Snorkeling offers chances to see sea lions, turtles, rays, and fish. Later, cross the Bolivar Channel, where whales are sometimes spotted, and continue to Fernandina Island. At Punta Espinoza, walk across lava fields filled with marine iguanas. You may also see Galapagos penguins and flightless cormorants. This island is one of the most pristine in the archipelago.
