a.m. Arrive to Baltra Island Airport
p.m. Daphne Island or Bahia Borrero
Your trip begins with an early flight to Baltra Island. Upon arrival, you will pass through a brief national park inspection before meeting your naturalist guide. A short transfer by bus and dinghy will take you to the yacht. Once onboard, you’ll settle into your cabin and attend an introductory briefing as the vessel begins its route.
During the afternoon, explore Bahia Borrero, a calm mangrove-lined inlet where wildlife such as sea turtles, rays, reef sharks, and tropical fish thrive—ideal for a peaceful dinghy ride. As an alternative, you may observe Daphne Minor from a distance, an island known for its importance in long-term evolutionary research on Darwin’s finches. This first day offers a gentle introduction to the archipelago’s ecosystems.
