The complete day expedition offers participants guided nature walks together with zodiac boat excursions and underwater snorkeling experiences.
Our group will start the Bartolomé Island journey from the assigned location at the set departure time. The island stands out because of its famous peak which appears northwest of Santa Cruz. The visitors will observe the stunning Galapagos Islands scenery while they discover the volcanic formation of these islands.
Upon arriving at Bartolome, we will have a dry landing. Then, we will begin the walk along a path that will take us to the top of the island. The 395 steps lead to a breathtaking island view together with its summit which creates an ideal spot for capturing our trip's best photo.
During our hike we will see small lava tunnels from the previous volcanic eruption. The area hosts native plants which include lava cacti and tiquilla plants while Darwin's finches reside in the surrounding environment.
Did you know that volcanic ash made Pinnacle Rock?
The view from this spot amazed us so we decided to take a zodiac tour along the shoreline. The search will lead us to discover the tropical penguin which stands as the only species of its kind and the Galapagos penguin which ranks as the second smallest penguin species globally.
The breathtaking experience at Bartolome led us to our Galaxy Daily boat where we enjoyed a delicious lunch. The next stop on our journey will be Sullivan Bay where we can explore the Galapagos marine life through snorkeling.
Sullivan Bay offers crystal-clear waters which makes it one of the best snorkeling locations in the Galapagos.
