Day 1: Baltra Island & Isabela Island

❯

Travel to Baltra and board the 12:30 Emetebe flight, which leads to Isabela Island. The afternoon tour leads visitors to Sucre's Cave which stands at a distance of 14 km from Puerto Villamil within the island's farming sector. The short hike leads visitors through native plants and endemic species before reaching the Mirador de Mango, which provides views across southern Isabela and its agricultural fields. The location stands as an excellent spot to observe finch birds. Return to Scalesia Lodge in time for dinner.Scalesia Lodge offers an overnight stay which includes both dinner and lunch.

Day 2: Isabela Island: Sierra Negra, Volcan Chico & Concha Perla

❯

Today, you will visit two of Isabela Island's most impressive locations which include Sierra Negra Volcano and Volcán Chico. Scientists classify Sierra Negra as one of the archipelago's most active volcanoes because its last eruption happened in 2005 yet Volcán Chico stands as the youngest part of Sierra Negra's northern flank. After lunch at Scalesia Lodge you will head to Concha Perla for an afternoon of swimming and snorkeling with tropical fish and sea lions and penguins and turtles and bird watching of up to 20 species. The night will be spent at Scalesia Lodge with breakfast lunch and dinner included in the package.

The site contains a basaltic caldera which provides stunning panoramic views and serves as a habitat for finches.
Landing: Dry

Meals Included:Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

Day 3: Isabela Island: Tintoreras, Puerto Villamil & Wall of tears

❯

“Tintoreras” is a cluster of small islets just a short boat ride from Puerto Villamil. The only way to reach this location requires boat transportation which leads to a short hiking path through tight lava gaps and rough “AA” lava terrain and sandy shorelines and mangrove-fringed coves. The guest will return to Scalesia Lodge for lunch before exploring the historic Wall of Tears which stands as a monument built by prisoners who worked between 1945 and 1959 when Isabela served as a prison colony. Overnight at Scalesia Lodge (B,L,D).

You must go to the airport during the early morning hours to catch your flight back to Baltra. You should pick up your luggage immediately after arrival to reach Puerto Ayora. The first stop should be Las Grietas which translates to "the Crevasses" because it contains three long natural pools between high lava cliffs. The afternoon brings an opportunity to visit Tortuga Bay which holds its name because sea turtles use it as their nesting ground. The day ends with a transfer to Finch Bay Hotel where you will stay overnight (B,L).
