North Seymour Island
The tour group needs to assemble at the specific location at the exact time which has been assigned. The bus will take you to Itabaca Channel where you will board the Galaxy Daily for the trip to North Seymour Island which lies north of Santa Cruz Island. The island serves as a wildlife sanctuary because it hosts large populations of blue-footed boobies and frigatebirds.
The arrival process ends with a dry landing which leads to a trail that stretches for 2.5 kilometers across the island. You have the option to begin your journey at the coastline or start by exploring the booby colonies before moving to the coast. The trail leads visitors to the biggest breeding areas of the Galapagos where they can see land iguanas and marine iguanas and sea lions and lava lizards and pelicans.
The blue-footed boobies perform an elaborate courtship dance which lasts for many hours while you walk past their nesting sites. The boobies do not build nests because their nesting area exists as a ring of white guano.
The path allows visitors to see all native plants that exist on the island including Opuntia and Croton and Castela and Sesuvium cacti.
Bachas Beach
The yacht voyage takes you through a stunning morning and lunch session before arriving at Bachas Beach which lies on the northern coast of Santa Cruz Island. The landing process will take place through a wet landing because you will leave the boat by stepping directly onto the beach. The beach offers excellent conditions for snorkeling and swimming and walking along the shore.
The beach contains a saltwater lagoon behind it which serves as a habitat for blue herons and other small bird species. The green sea turtles establish their nesting sites on both the big and small beach areas. Snorkeling allows people to view vibrant reef fish along with rays and various marine animals.
The trip ends when you take a boat back to Itabaca Channel which leads you to Puerto Ayora pier.
