Embark on a five-day expedition through the Galapagos Islands to discover breathtaking natural wonders and diverse animal species and participate in thrilling adventures. The itinerary includes visits to Santa Cruz and Isabela and Bartolome and Seymour Islands where guests can experience vibrant underwater environments and explore the distinctive habitats of Tortuga Bay and Charles Darwin Research Station.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Santa Cruz Island: Charles Darwin Station
❯Morning: Take off from Quito or Guayaquil heading to Baltra. The staff will greet you at the airport when you arrive before taking you to Gran Hotel Lobo de Mar in Puerto Ayora where you will get your lunch.
Afternoon: Explore the Charles Darwin Research Station together with the Van Stralen Exhibition Center. Dinner service begins at night.
Day 2: Isabela Island or Santa Fe Island
❯OPTION 1 (SANTA FE – PLAYA ESCONDIDA)
- Islote La Botella serves as a habitat where visitors can observe seabirds together with sea lions and iguanas.
- La Encañada: The first snorkeling experience allows you to see fish schools and turtles and sharks and sea lions and beautiful underwater scenery.
- Santa Fe Bay: The second snorkeling experience at Santa Fe Bay offers the same marine life including vibrant fish and sea turtles and sharks and sea lions.
- Lunch
- Escondida Beach: Visitors can swim while watching the diverse marine life which includes sharks and turtles and manta rays and various other sea creatures.
OPTION 2 (ISABELA)
- Flamingos Lagoon: Watch flamingos as they eat in their natural environment while plovers and shorebirds join them.
- The Galapaguera Breeding Center displays giant tortoises at various life stages while showing how scientists protect these famous reptiles through breeding initiatives.
- Lunch: Served at a local restaurant.
- The Afternoon Beach provides a relaxed environment where visitors can watch Galapagos marine animals in the shallow clear water of the bay.
PM: The boats will take you back to Santa Cruz where you will have your dinner.
Day 3: Santa Cruz Island: Twin Craters
❯AM: After finishing your breakfast start your day at Tortuga Bay this beautiful beach stretches for two kilometers. The beach contains white sand which comes from coral and fish bones that create a protected space for marine iguanas and sea turtles and other native animals.
PM: Visit the “Tunnels of Love” to explore the well-known lava tunnels which provide an enjoyable learning experience about geology. Complete your day with a final meal at night.
Day 4: Bartolome Island or Seymour Island
❯Bartolome stands out because of its lunar-like terrain which creates an alien environment where visitors can observe Galapagos penguins while enjoying the golden sand beaches.
Visitors who visit Seymour Island get to observe blue-footed boobies and the biggest frigatebird colony in the Galapagos and flamingos before they spend their afternoon relaxing on the beach.
Day 5: Santa Cruz Island
❯AM: After breakfast, we will transfer from the hotel to Baltra Airport.Your journey begins with a boat ride through the Itabaca Channel where you will experience the last view of the Galapagos paradise before reaching the next destination.
